Beef Kebabs with Italian Marinade

Serve with rice or pasta and a green salad.

What you need

500 g diced steak, preferably top sirloin steak
3 Tablespoons of olive oil
6 Tablespoons of white wine vinegar
breadcrumbs
1 Tablespoon of dried oregano
2 Tablespoon of dried basil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
2 red or yellow bell peppers, cut into pieces
1 onion, cut into small wedges

How it is done
  1. Combine olive oil, vinegar, oregano, basil, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add diced steak, onion, and cut peppers and toss to coat. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Thread beef, onion and peppers onto skewers.
  4. Place on grill or barbecue. Grill for 8-10 minutes turning occasionally.
Notes

Before inserting ingredients for the grill or barbecue, soak bamboo or wood skewers  in water for 10-15 minutes and then drain. If not soaked, the wood will burn and the taste will get into the meat.
