Serve with rice or pasta and a green salad.
What you need
500 g diced steak, preferably top sirloin steak
3 Tablespoons of olive oil
6 Tablespoons of white wine vinegar
1 Tablespoon of dried oregano
2 Tablespoon of dried basil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
2 red or yellow bell peppers, cut into pieces
1 onion, cut into small wedges
How it is done
- Combine olive oil, vinegar, oregano, basil, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Add diced steak, onion, and cut peppers and toss to coat. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes.
- Thread beef, onion and peppers onto skewers.
- Place on grill or barbecue. Grill for 8-10 minutes turning occasionally.
Before inserting ingredients for the grill or barbecue, soak bamboo or wood skewers in water for 10-15 minutes and then drain. If not soaked, the wood will burn and the taste will get into the meat.
