The ultimate BBQ dry rub recipe

The ultimate BBQ dry rub recipe

This is our go-to dry rub recipe for anything that's going on the BBQ. It works particularly well for ribs.

What you need

4 tablespoons sweet paprika
2 tablespoons chilli powder
2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon white pepper
1-2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

How it is done

Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

You'll need to use 2 tablespoons of dry rub per 0.5kg of meat.

Gently massage the dry rub onto the meat, ensuring that it is evenly coated.

(Optional) Allow the meat to rest on the countertop for 10-15 minutes before cooking.

This rub can be stored for up to a week in the fridge, in an airtight container.
